Introduction
Golden Teak Hardwood Flooring is internationally recognized as the premier choice for luxury residential and high-end commercial interiors. Sourced from mature Tectona grandis, this flooring is characterized by its signature honey-gold hues, straight grain patterns, and an organic luster that only genuine teak can provide.
Unlike domestic hardwoods that require heavy staining to achieve a "golden" look, our Teak flooring possesses this radiance naturally. Infused with high concentrations of natural oils and rubber, these planks offer an underfoot feel that is uniquely smooth and temperature-stable, making it a "barefoot-friendly" surface that adds immediate equity and timeless prestige to any property.

Key Advantages of Golden Teak Flooring
Natural Color Maturation
One of the most fascinating traits of Golden Teak is its "mellowing" process. When first installed, the boards may show variegated light and dark streaks. Upon exposure to natural UV light, the wood undergoes a photochemical reaction, evening out into a uniform, rich golden-brown within weeks. This natural "self-balancing" color is a hallmark of authentic teak.
Exceptional Moisture Resistance
Because Teak is biologically programmed to survive tropical monsoons, it is the most moisture-stable hardwood available for flooring. It resists the cupping and gapping that often plague Oak or Maple in coastal environments or high-humidity regions.
Natural Termite and Decay Protection
The same resins that protect Teak trees in the wild remain active in your floorboards. Golden Teak is naturally distasteful to termites and resistant to fungal rot, providing a layer of "built-in" protection that eliminates the need for harsh chemical treatments.
High Oil Content for Longevity
The high oil content prevents the wood fibers from becoming brittle over time. This internal lubrication ensures that the wood maintains its structural integrity for decades, allowing for a floor that can be sanded and refinished many times over its lifespan.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Is Golden Teak the same as "Brazilian Teak"?
A: No. "Golden Teak" usually refers to genuine Tectona grandis. Brazilian Teak (Cumaru) is a different species that is much darker and significantly harder. While Cumaru is durable, it lacks the signature honey-gold glow and dimensional stability of genuine Golden Teak.
Q: Does Golden Teak flooring require special maintenance?
A: No. Maintenance is straightforward. We recommend regular sweeping and the use of a pH-neutral hardwood cleaner. Avoid steam mops or excessive water. If you have an oil-finished floor, a simple "refresh" coat every few years will maintain the golden luster.
Q: Can I install Golden Teak over a concrete slab?
A: For concrete installations (common in luxury condos), we recommend our Engineered Golden Teak. If you prefer Solid flooring, it must be installed over a properly prepared plywood subfloor with a moisture barrier.
Q: Why does my new floor have some dark/greenish streaks?
A: This is a natural characteristic of freshly milled Teak. These minerals and pigments are temporary; as soon as the floor is exposed to light, those streaks will transform into the classic golden-brown color.
Q: Is Golden Teak flooring sustainable?
A: Yes. We source our Golden Teak from responsibly managed plantations that follow strict reforestation protocols, ensuring that your luxury floor does not contribute to the depletion of natural forests.
